Rainy day blues are a real thing

As we shift into the fall and winter months, many of us will notice that our mood can also dip. This is a very common challenge and one that can be improved by some of the following suggestions:

-Consider your current level of connection to friends and family. This is a challenging task to navigate during a pandemic yet not impossible- we can dream up some creative solutions!

-Check in with your current activity level. Going for a walk even 1-2 times per week can help us feel better by participating in nature and moving our bodies.

-For some of us we may need some medication, this is a conversation for you to have with your health provider.

-Consult with your health care provider, Doctor, or Naturopath and consider starting some vitamins or supplements to give you a vitamin D boost!

-Invest in some light therapy to use at home. There are devices that you can sit near for specific amounts of time that mimic the sun and its energy providing effects!

-Attend Therapy! You are not alone in needing some support during this difficult time. Seasonal changes do affect our mood and we continuing to live and operate during a global pandemic.
